Add some garden greenery
What better way to improve your privacy than to add a natural touch that will blend in with the surrounding? Grab some containers you tucked away in your store and transform them into planters. Wooden crates placed on your fence wall will not only provide you with extra planting space for your favorite salads, but they will also block out prying eyes. To top it all, create a hanging garden by reusing food cans you no longer need.
Plant a living screen
Create a narrow strip next to the fence wall and plant a row of bamboo shoots to create an attractive barrier. Window treatments are easy to use, easy to adjust solutions to giving you better privacy. Consider fitting patio blinds that complement the color of your outdoor furniture. Alternatively, draperies of contrasting color will bring out the beauty of your patio while blocking out intense sunlight.

Creating a focal point in your garden can be an exciting activity. Just gather your family and brainstorm on the endless possibilities that will enliven your boring afternoons. Purchase some calabashes and a fountain supply kit to create your water feature to add some buzz to your garden. Grab an old tree stump from your yard and place a sculpture on top to add to the interest. Strings of lights or paper lanterns will complement this, and enhance the mood of your patio.
